Mystery : Who killed Mary?!!
Recently I was listening to the Song 'Hazard' from Richard Marx and at first I just thought...hey....nice love ballade, but after listening for a while I realized that the girl he sings bout (Mary) died. I looked up the lyrics and found myself confused..? Who killed Mary in this Song?!
I have a few theorys, but I let u guys guess first....


Note: This song has no true background. Its fictonal.
Richard Marx, the artist first visited the Town Hazard years AFTER releasing the single.

So, who killed Mary? The folks in town? Did he kill his girl himself? Was it suicide? @_@ What do you think?

es waren die leute. sie haben ihn gehasst, und darum töteten sie mary um ihn zu beschuldigen.

Ich würde sagen, er war es selbst ... dieses 'I left her by the river' ... ich weiß nicht, entweder ich bin sehr krank im Kopf oder das impliziert, dass er ihre Leiche dort gelassen hat ... @.@ Irgendwie so ... weil er scheint ja n psychisches Problem zu haben, weshalb die Leute ihn so komisch ansehen und so ... o.o oder ... @.@

Wenn ich von der These ausgehe, dass er mental n bisschen neben der Spur ist, dann bildet er sich nur ein, dass er sie 'safe and sound' da gelassen hat, ihre leiche eben. Manche Menschen haben das, dass sie den Tod nicht wahrhaben und auch Leichen noch umarmen.

Das ist es in der Tat ... das ist halt das grundsätzliche Problem bei Interpretationen. Ich bin da nach meinem ersten Gefühl gegangen xD So krank das auch ist.
Mich würde aber mal deine Idee interessieren xD

uhm.....also ich haab am Anfang gedacht das es die Leute im Dorf waren. Sie kamen net drauf klar das der Aussenseiter mit 'ihrer' Mary anbendelte. Vielleicht dachten sie das der Typ, Mary auf dumme Gedanken brachte oder so.

Naja das scheint aber kein guter Grund zu sein um sie gleich deswegen umzunieten X_x;;;

Dann hab ich mir überlegt ob es möglich wäre das er sie selbst umgebracht hat. das leuchtet , meiner meinung nach schon eher ein. Wir nehmen an, er hat einen an der Klatsche und tötet sie 'aus liebe' weil er sie vor den bösen dörflern beschützen will und sie somit 'von hier wegbringt'.

Doch inzwischen glaube ich das es noch 2 weitere Möglichkeiten gibt.
Entweder, sie hat sich selbst umgebracht (ich weiss das geht aus dem text nicht so hervor, aber es wäre eine option) und die Dörfler denken er wärs gewesen, oder sind sich einig das er zumindest schuld daran war das sie sich das leben nahm. um ihm dafür eine reinzuwürgen sagen sie es war mord. wie ich drauf komme?

Sie ging alleine raus. Wenn man bedenkt das Nebraska wirklich am arsch der welt ist und das dort wirklich die leute ein wenig in der zeit zurück leben, ist es seltsam das ein junges Mädchen einfach so nachts verschwindet.

Das letzte was mir dazu einfällt: Einer aus dem dorf hat Mary umgebracht und hält sich bedeckt. Die Dörfler schliessen sich von der Tat aus und es bleibt nur noch der erzähler. Dieser ist jedoch unschuldig und der wahre Täter wird nicht genannt so das alle drauf schliessen das er es trotzdem war.
